About the Staff at The Rugby Montessori Nursery School
Montessori Teachers are trained to recognise when a child is passing through a sensitive stage - when they are particularly interested in mastering a new skill. If these skills are taught at the right time, the children will soak up the information like a sponge and learning is a real joy.
'One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.' Maria Montessori
At The Rugby Montessori Nursery School, the staff are trained in the theory and practice of the Montessori Teaching Method either by a professional body or by in-house training. The staff are members of the Montessori Schools Association and are dedicated to the Montessori Method of Teaching. All our teachers have now been chosen for their individual skills and qualifications and most importantly their love of the child.
Staff training ensures that the staff are calm, patient, caring and conscientious allowing the child's true potential to develop.
The greatest sign of success for a Montessori Teacher is to be able to say "the children are now working as if I did not exist". Maria Montessori.
